  I would give this review zero stars if possible. I had made an appointment with Dr. Gomez as a first time patient, even though it took me three weeks to get into his office. I live three hours away from his office ("home" is Melbourne so I return for appointments bc of insurance) and on the day of my appointment I got a call SIX minutes before my appointment with him canceling. If you expect at 24 hour cancellation from patients, I expect the exact same from you. I am of course fuming with anger and frustration at this point, but the lady at the front desk was very helpful in finding me a new doctor (that I absolutely love!!!) that they have no affiliation with and agreed that it was completely unprofessional of Dr. Gomez. I give the lady five stars for putting up and working for such a doctor, while she has to do the dirty work and get the backlash from the upset clients.

  These reviews already on here speak for themselves. I understand being the only doctor in a practice and being a busy man but there comes a point where it's just unacceptable. I spent this entire pregnancy not worried about all the cancellations because I was so low-risk and I knew there were people higher on the priority list than me. I knew I wasn't all that far along and thought, "it's really no big deal, I'm sure I will get more time spent with me towards the end." But, at this point, I have been rescheduled/cancelled on MORE TIMES than I've actually been SEEN. I am going on ONE MONTH without being seen at 37.5 WEEKS. This week alone, they have had to reschedule me THREE TIMES due to things like "he's having car troubles" amongst other bogus excuses. All the necessary testing you are supposed to have done by the 37 week mark is now completely thrown out the window for me. Not to mention, every single time I've actually been seen, I get 2-5 minutes MAX with him and he NEVER asks if I have any questions or concerns. It would be one thing if this were my second or third pregnancy, but come on. I've never been pregnant before and it would be nice and comforting to know that my doctor actually cares to ask me how I am doing/feeling or let me know what to expect at each stage of the pregnancy. All I have to say is thank goodness for pregnancy books and the internet. Let me add that I ALWAYS chose places strictly off of reviews and recommendations. Something has certainly changed over the last 9 months because these reviews were NOT out there back in December.

  Dr Gomez was a wonderful gift to our family. I'm high risk at my age and they put my fears to rest - took great care of me - and were willing to spend the time answering my questions. Dr. Gomez and his medical and office staff were all great at communicating what was going on with the baby and my pregnancy and I felt they really cared about how I was doing. There was no problem using my birth plan on their end - although the hospital (Holmes Regional) did give me some push back on it once my son was born. All in all - it couldn't have gone better.
